Fall is a season for gratitude. On our all-volunteer team at the Dream Factory of Brooklyn, we can’t wait to spend these months working toward our mission: granting wishes for children in our community with critical illness.

Volunteer
On the Dream Factory of Brooklyn team, we’re all volunteers — and we love what we do. You can help out at an event, like a charity baseball game, or use your professional skills to help advance our mission.
We’re eager to grow our team. Find open positions for part-time volunteer roles on our marketing team here. By joining us, you’ll be sharpening your strengths in fundraising, communications, or social media, while helping us fulfill children’s dreams.

Donate
We’re a fully volunteer-powered organization, which means that every dollar raised goes directly toward changing children’s lives. Nationally, 96.1% of all donations to the Dream Factory is used to grant the wishes of chronic and critically ill children. We accept donations of all dollar amounts, and no donation is too small to make a difference. Donate today, and help change the life of a child in need.
Refer a child
At the Dream Factory of Brooklyn, we don’t limit our wish-granting to children with life-threatening illness. Children with chronic illness or developmental disabilities are eligible, too.
Referrals play an important role in connecting the Dream Factory team with children in need. Do you know a child who might be a fit for our program? Submit our simple referral form. We’ll contact the child’s family to check their eligibility.
Connect your company

Celebrate fall in the spirit of giving
Start by stopping by our table at the Brooklyn Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5! Hosted by Brooklyn Neighborhood Health, you’ll find free health screenings, a farmer’s market, fitness activities, and health workshop, as well as arts and crafts, a photo booth, and a children’s corner. Can’t make it to the Fall Festival? With a little creative thinking, you can host your own fall fundraiser to help the Dream Factory of Brooklyn make a difference for critically ill children. Here are a few easy ideas:
- Thankful Tree for Dreams: Create a “Thankful Tree” at home where each family member writes something they’re grateful for on a leaf, along with a wish they’d like to grant for a child in need. As a family, you can donate or raise funds to make those wishes come true for the children in our community through the Dream Factory of Brooklyn.
- Apple Cider Stand for Dreams: This fall, switch up your usual lemonade stand with a hot cider stand to add a little cozy sweetness to your neighbor’s day. Donate the profits to the Dream Factory of Brooklyn to help us bring joy to more kids.
- Bake Sale for Dreams: Bake some autumn treats with your family and connect with your neighbors by selling them baked goods from the heart. Donate the profits to the Dream Factory of Brooklyn, so we can keep spreading hope to families in need.
