Dream Factory of Brooklyn celebrated its 15th anniversary at this years Brooklyn Cyclones charity baseball game at Maimonides Park. The event brought together families, supporters, and community leaders for an afternoon of baseball and hope—raising enough funds to grant two more dreams for children facing critical and chronic health conditions.
The highlight of the day was honoring Asata Montreuil, age 11, who will soon see his dream come true with a trip to Disney World. Fans cheered as Asata and his family were celebrated on the field, a moment that reflected the heart of Dream Factory’s mission: bringing joy and unforgettable experiences to children when they need it most.
Adding to the celebration, Mayor Eric Adams recognized August 17th as National Dream Factory of Brooklyn Day, while Spireworks lit up many NYC landmarks in Dream Factory of Brooklyn’s signature colors. Both gestures serve as powerful symbols of New York City’s support for children whose lives are touched by illness.
“The game was about more than just baseball—it was about showing kids like Asata that their dreams matter and that their community is behind them,” said Mark Catuogna, President of Dream Factory of Brooklyn. “We are grateful to the Brooklyn Cyclones for their partnership, to the New York City Council for recognizing our 15 years of service, and to everyone who came out to support our dreamers.”
The success of this event was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors, and volunteers. Big thank you the Main Dream sponsor; Hobby Box, and the Wishful Home Run sponsors; Everflow Technologies Inc., MC Travel Management, and Sleep Dynamics.
