The Dream Factory Brooklyn Partners with the Brooklyn Cyclones for an Afternoon of Sports, Family and Fun!
We were thrilled to partner with the Brooklyn Cyclones for our annual charity event on Sunday August 13th at Maimonides Park. Dream Factory Brooklyn volunteers, friends, family and supporters all came out to watch the Brooklyn Cyclones face-off against the Aberdeen Ironbirds on a glorious sunny summer afternoon.
The game was so much fun to watch. Not only that, but the Cyclones generously donated some of the proceeds from ticket sales to our organization, so that we can fulfill more dreams

The Cyclones also kindly put the spotlight on our charity’s mission by letting one of our dreamers throw the first pitch.
Our dreamer, Emily, age 14, was so excited to open the game, and she did a wonderful job!
We also had a booth with a jackpot wheel: People who bought tickets got to spin the wheel, and if they were lucky, they could win a Brooklyn Cyclones jersey, or a baseball cap! Children and adults of all ages lined up to play, which was also a great way for us to raise funds for our organization
All in all, we were grateful to share a fun-filled moment with the community that our organization supports, and to be able to tell people about all the things we’ve been doing. For example, did you know that we were able to fulfill one of our children’s life-long dreams this summer ? One of our dreamers will get to spend a week in the Dominican Republic with her family exploring the beautiful beaches, the rich and layered culture and the tropical nature.
One dream at a time, we are bringing joy and strength to some of the children who need it most, so that they can better fight against their illnesses.
